Membership Types
Single State & Multi State Operators
Any individual, partnership, corporation or any other entity of good business repute engaged in the business of operating, or owning and leasing to operators, machines for the vending of merchandise or service, and who operate in the State of Maine, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, or Massachusetts.
Associate Sponsors
Any individual, partnership, corporation or any other entity engaged in the business of (1) manufacturing machines for the vending of merchandise or service; (2) selling machines for vending of merchandise or service: (3) selling merchandise, supplies, parts, or services to the vending industry: or (4) any combination of the above activities.
Benefits
The New England Refreshment Services Association is focused on promoting the common business interests and general welfare of the convenience services industry and improving the industry’s service to the public through legislative tracking, grassroots services, and direct advocacy.
Legislative Tracking:
- NERSA will provide legislative tracking of the Connecticut General Assembly as well as within major localities in Connecticut, Maine, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts to identify proposals that are harmful or helpful to convenience services operations.
- NERSA will consistently update NEVA of proposed policy through monthly email newsletter correspondence.
Grassroots Services:
- NERSA will provide enhanced grassroots services for Connecticut, Maine, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts state and local issues through the NAMA Action Center. This service includes a comprehensive portal to track proposed legislation and regulations, provide summaries, contact information for state and local officials, and one-click grassroots services to enable NERSA members to send emails and letters to officials and regulators stating support or opposition.
Direct Advocacy:
- NAMA will serve as the lobbyist on behalf of NERSA. This service to include direct advocacy of state legislators, the governor’s office and executive agencies, and local officials through in person meetings, correspondence, and necessary issue tracking.
- NAMA will recommend and administer all policy engagement for NERSA, engaging in the legislative and regulatory process based on policy issues being tracked. Advocacy work to include meeting with officials, drafting comments and necessary correspondence with elected officials and regulators, drafting and providing feedback for legislative initiatives and proposals, and other advocacy duties as necessary.
